Box Girder

A common form of bridge that comprises steel girders in the shape of a box. The closed form boxes provide good torsional resistance which can eliminate or minimise the amount of bracing required between girders:

• Trapezoidal Boxes
• Rectangular Boxes (Vertical webs)
